What's required to set up an account?
Since we don't require you to sign any term commitments, setup is relatively easy. Just fill out an account application. This can be done online or by submitting an application via fax. If you'd like to fax a copy of your application to us, you can download a copy or just contact our sales office at 800.624.6687. Account approval is quick, too. During normal business hours*, we process most new accounts within one hour. In a few cases we may ask for a credit card number as an account guarantee in order to provide invoicing terms. This usually only occurs when information provided by the credit bureau is insufficient or if your company is less than one year old. If there are any problems with the processing of your account, a representative will contact you promptly to work out a solution. *Normal business hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central, Monday through Friday.
Do I have to sign a service contract?
No! The only documentation we need to activate your account is an account application with verifiable information.
The agreement that is implied by the submission of an application is simple:
- You pay for service with which you are satisfied.
- You can use our services at any time, provided your account payments remain current.
- If you no longer require our service, you can stop using it at any time with no obligation.
How soon can I get an account set up?
After we receive your completed account application, our account team can set up your account within an hour. We will need to call you prior to activating your conference call codes, so make sure to list a phone number where we can reach you. Rush processing is only available during normal business hours which are 7:00 AM - 5:00 PPM Central, Monday - Friday.
What equipment do I need to make a conference call?
In order to make a conference call, you simply need a touch tone phone. Teleconferencing is easy because we provide a toll-free dial-in number for you and your participants. Once you dial into the conferencing bridge using the toll-free number, you enter your unique passcode and our technology connects you with all of your participants.
If youd like to conduct a web conference to show people a presentation or software application, you need a computer with Internet access. Call leaders may need to download our proprietary software in order to get the fully functional version of the web conferencing program.
What is a toll-free conference call?
As a call leader, you provide your participants an 800 number to access your toll-free conference call. Your participants will pay nothing (not even long distance charges) to join your meeting. As the call leader, you will be charged for the entire amount of the conference call.
What is the difference between audio and web conferencing?
Audio conferencing, or a conference call, is done completely over the phone. When web conferencing is added, participants will also need a computer with Internet access in order to see the visual component of your conference call. Audio and web conferencing can be used together or separately. Speak with one of our ConferenceCall.com representatives and they can consult you on which conferencing service is best for your meeting.
How do I record a conference call?
If you are using our event services department, an operator will start and stop the recording for you. Simply ask your reservationist to add this feature to your call. With our Ready-Call® service, you can start the recording yourself, by pressing *2 on your telephone keypad. A message will play to your audience to let them know the call is being recorded.
